If you are interested in college or university, here are some things you need to know, and that we can help you with.

College

18 year olds can attend a California Community College, whether or not they have earned a high school diploma. But a you need a high school diploma or its equivalent to qualify for financial aide.

Students enrolled in college can work toward certificate programs in a wide variety of career fields, or towards a two-year, guaranteed university transfer degree.

University

To qualify for admission to a university, such as a CSU or UC, you need to meet one of these requirements:

  • Admission as a freshman: Graduate from high school having completed the UC/CSU entrance requirements (a--g list) with grades of C or above
  • Admission as a transfer student: Graduate from high school and complete a 2 year transfer degree at a community college
